Job Summary

Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Virtualization Administrator with expertise in managing and optimizing virtualization technologies, including VMware, Kubernetes, Docker, YAML and KVM. The ideal candidate will ensure that our virtualization platforms are secure, scalable, and efficient while supporting development and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities : Virtualization Administration Manage and maintain virtual environments using VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter. Administer and troubleshoot KVM-based virtualization platforms, ensuring high availability and optimal performance. Deploy, configure, and manage virtual machines (VMs) and associated resources across multiple platforms. Perform capacity planning, resource allocation, and system performance monitoring for virtualized environments. Containerization and Orchestration Deploy, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters in production, staging, and development environments. Administer and manage containerized applications using Docker, ensuring best practices for image creation and management. Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications. Manage networking, storage, and security aspects of Kubernetes and Docker environments. Monitoring and Troubleshooting Proactively monitor the health, performance, and utilization of virtualized and containerized environments. Investigate and resolve issues related to virtualization, containerization, and orchestration platforms. Perform root cause analysis for system failures and implement corrective actions. Security and Compliance Implement security best practices for virtualized and containerized environments, including vulnerability scanning and patch management. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Automation and Optimization Develop and maintain scripts (Bash, PowerShell, Python, etc.) to automate routine tasks and deployments. Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies to enhance the efficiency and scalability of virtualized and containerized infrastructures. Documentation and Reporting Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures. Generate reports on system performance, capacity, and incidents for stakeholders.

Skill Requirements

Skill Requirement : Proven experience administering and managing virtualization platforms such as VMware (vSphere, ESXi), KVM, or similar technologies. Expertise in containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. Strong understanding of networking concepts (VLANs, VXLANs, DNS, Load Balancing) as applied to virtualization and containers. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation. Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar solutions. Strong troubleshooting skills in Linux and Windows operating systems within virtualized environments. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud integrations.

Other Requirements

Other Requirement : Certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Docker Certified Associate (DCA). Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible. Knowledge of storage systems (SAN, NAS) and their integration with virtualization and containers.
