We are seeking a Lab Engineer (individual contributor) to lead hands-on server bring-up and hardware system integration in our engineering lab. Key responsibilities include assembling and powering on new servers, integrating PCIe/CXL components, troubleshooting BIOS/BMC issues, and installing and validating Linux and Windows operating systems to ensure stable performance. This role also involves connecting lab servers to the network (with basic configuration), organizing and managing the lab space, equipment, and inventory, and conducting thermal tests (such as evaluating thermal interface materials and cold plates) to optimize system reliability. The position emphasizes independent, hands-on technical execution and close coordination with cross-functional engineering teams, focusing on day-to-day lab operations and ownership of tasks without managerial duties.
Key Responsibilities
1. To participate in functional as well as technical discussions with the client /team to understand functional /design specifications ,highlight performance concerns, inconsistencies ,ensure the appropriate test environments and infrastructures are in place/kept upto date.
2. To Identify opportunities for process improvement in testing methodologies /tools and Implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.
3. To oversee the creation and execution of automated test scripts ensuring consistency and alignment with quality standards to minimize exposure.
4. To develop/guide and mentor QA engineers in the use of the testing framework , enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity.
