HCLTech is seeking a highly versatile, hands-on Mechatronics Engineer to join our Engineering Services team. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, developing, and refining complex robotic and automated systems. You will guide projects from early concept through full implementation, applying mechanical, electrical, and software engineering disciplines to deliver high‑quality prototype hardware and system improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead hardware development from concept through prototype build and final bring‑up.
Apply mechanical, electrical, and software engineering principles to evaluate robotic systems and recommend improvements for performance, reliability, and efficiency.
Independently assess project goals, scope, and complexity to define effective project plans and execution strategies.
Own all phases of the engineering process, including conceptual design, analysis, CAD, drafting, BOM creation, fabrication, assembly, testing, and documentation.
Skill Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven ability to design, build, and deploy complex prototype hardware.
Strong multidisciplinary foundation with the ability to switch between mechanical, electrical, and controls/software engineering tasks.
Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360) and experience producing detailed drawings and BOMs.
Demonstrated experience in planning, organizing, and autonomously managing technical project tasks.
Exceptional problem‑solving abilities and a proactive, goal‑driven approach.
Experience working with robotics or advanced automated systems is highly desirable
Other Requirements
1.Certification in CAD design software like Creo is preferred.
